MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
• Bachelor Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering with at least five (5) years experience in Maintenance related field in a Pharmaceutical Industry and a minimum of two (2) years experience in the equipment reliability within a parenteral manufacturing facility .• Experience in Project Management.• Experience with Predictive Technologies, Root Cause Failure Analysis and Failure Mode & Effect Analysis. • Advanced computer and excellent technical skills• Demonstrated outstanding technical expertise in mechanical and electrical failures.• Demonstrated leadership and team oriented skills.• Excellent oral and written communication skills in English and Spanish. • Ability to develop strategies and implement following a structured plan.• Ability to identify problems and develop solutions.• Ability to integrate processes and develop efficient and effective link between them.• Ability to proactively adapt to and promote new technologies and processes in a changing maintenance culture. • Ability to communicate effectively with customers in regards to developing and meeting expectations.• Ability to meet project targets within specific timeframe
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible and accountable for the Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) procedures and initiatives for the production areas, to systematically achieve the adequate maintenance practices to meet customer priorities and comply with Financial and Regulatory policies and goals. This position must comply with all Security guidelines, Environmental Health and Safety regulations and the current Good Manufacturing Practices required by the job function.
1. Maintains a list of site critical equipment based in business continuity and cGMPs. 2. Improves reliability of the systems, equipment and operations by utilizing analytical, statistical tools and instrumentation.
3. Develops, prioritize and accomplish equipment reliability goals based on manufacturing strategies and/or market needs.
4. Conducts and/or reviews and approves failure modes and effects analysis (FMEA) to ensure proper maintenance tasks and intervals are established for all equipment in the RCM program in order to achieve the desired reliability.
5. Develops and/or approves equipment specifications and acceptance tests, and maintenance procedures for new and/or rebuilt equipment that is installed and maintained in order to ensure maximum value and reliability.
6. Communicates with customers to develop and meet reliability requirements and RCM program goals to ensure strategic manufacturing goals are being met.
7. Prepares reports to describe the status, benefits and opportunities within the RCM program to ensure strategic maintenance goals are being met.
8. Performs root cause failure analysis (RCFA) for chronic or critical equipment failures and identifies corrective actions necessary to increase future reliability.
9. Reviews maintenance equipment history in order to provide proactive solutions to potential problems affecting reliability and or cost.
10. Ensures all new and/or rebuilt equipment meets or exceeds standards for reliability.
11. Works directly with the Preventive and Predictive Maintenance group to provide guidance and decision making regarding the maintenance procedures and process in order to ensure the reliability goals for the plant are met.
12. Supports maintenance and operations for corrective and reactive maintenance as well as proactive maintenance related to reliability.
13. Supports the execution of capital projects, when required.
14. Ensures EHS and GMP practices and regulations are considered in all activities related to the owned system, projects, maintenance, etc.
15. Leads the standardization of equipment, components, installation and technologies within all site major systems.
16. Leads predictive technician efforts to attend routes, troubleshooting and corrective activities.
