Summary: Develop, coordinate, and monitor site Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) Programs. Provide guidance and advise the site on all matters regarding EHS.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities: Include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Identify, manage, and assess risks of the EHS programs assigned.
- Guide, develop and Implement EHS programs.
- Ensure compliance with federal and local environmental and safety laws, regulations, rules, and corporate standards.
- Develop, create, maintain, and distribute EHS reports and records as assigned.
- Provide training to employees and/or contractors in EHS matters and site procedures.
- Participates in incident investigations and support Process Safety Management (PSM) programs, as needed.
- Assure all documentation are available and in compliance with applicable regulations.
- Perform periodic audits to verify compliance with regulations, policies, and standards.
- Support EHS activities and safety campaigns.
- Adhere to and set the example for the company core values.
Qualification Requirements: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty with high standards and very good performance. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
- Bachelor’s Degree (B.S.) in Engineering, Sciences or related from four-year college or University; and 1-3 years of experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Ability to read, analyze and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors.
- Excellent Oral/Written skills in English and Spanish.
- Proficient with Microsoft Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point, teams, SharePoint). Ability with computer base databases.
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
- Flexible schedule (work weekend or irregular shifts)
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and changing priorities.
