Job Description
The Customer Service Planner will be responsible for implementing the planning strategies to ensure on time delivery to customers. The holder of his position will oversee the planning processes and procedures and execution of production orders to ensure maximizing on time deliveries. The goal is to oversee the fend to end follow up of production orders to meet committed customer delivery dates and alert management proactively when potential misses are foreseen so necessary actions are put in place to avoid impact to the customer.
Main Responsibilities & Tasks:
• Download SAP system data and prepare reports to follow up on orders by priority and committed material availability dates.
• Evaluate production schedules to ensure support customer delivery target dates
• Ensure that orders lead time is realistic compared to established product family lead-times.
• Provide daily focus on status of orders escalated, requests for improvement and rush or backlog orders
• Communicate proactively with internal customers and external customers providing status of sales orders and CCPOs.
• Help control the sequence, execution, and priority of orders
• Ensure that unforeseen delays do not impact customer timescales
• Create, analyze and publish weekly delivery metrics and reason for missed orders
Qualification & Skills:
• Bachelor's degree in supply chain, business topic or industrial engineering
• Minimum 3 years' experience working in a supply chain function, production or customer service within a production company
• Experience working with an ERP system (SAP preferred)
• Understanding of manufacturing processes
• Experience in materials management and production scheduling in a production environment
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and experienced database usage/management preferred (Power BI)
• Effective problem solving, communication and organizational skills
• Bi-lingual (English/Spanish) written and verbal
• Self-motivated and driver of results
