Project Manager

Job Overview
We are seeking a Project Manager with strong experience in pharmaceutical capital projects. This role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Computer Engineering and a proven track record of leading multidisciplinary teams. The ideal candidate will manage all phases of project execution—from initial planning to final closeout—while ensuring compliance with industry regulations, safety standards, and corporate objectives.

Key Responsibilities
1.    Project Planning & Initiation
o    Define project scope, goals, deliverables, and success criteria in alignment with business objectives.
o    Develop detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets, coordinating with stakeholders in engineering, procurement, quality, and operations.
2.    Execution & Team Leadership
o    Lead cross-functional teams (engineering, quality, validation, etc.) to ensure project milestones are met on time and within budget.
o    Oversee contractor selection, contract negotiations, and resource allocation to maintain efficiency and cost control.
3.    Quality & Regulatory Compliance
o    Ensure projects adhere to cGMP standards, FDA regulations, and internal quality requirements.
o    Collaborate with QA/Compliance teams to integrate regulatory considerations into project deliverables.
4.    Risk Management & Problem-Solving
o    Identify potential project risks (technical, financial, operational) and develop mitigation strategies.
o    Resolve complex engineering or process challenges, leveraging a deep understanding of mechanical, electrical, or computer systems.
5.    Budget & Cost Control
o    Track project costs, prepare financial forecasts, and manage change orders to stay within approved budgets.
o    Provide regular updates and variance reports to stakeholders, recommending cost-optimization measures as needed.
6.    Stakeholder Communication & Reporting
o    Serve as the primary point of contact for project stakeholders, including senior management, vendors, and regulatory bodies.
o    Prepare and present regular status reports, highlighting project progress, risks, and recommendations.
7.    Project Closeout & Continuous Improvement
o    Conduct final project reviews, ensuring all documentation (e.g., as-built drawings, validation reports) is complete and archived.
o    Capture lessons learned and best practices to enhance future project execution.

Qualifications
•    Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Computer Engineering (required).
•    Experience: Minimum of 5 years managing capital projects in the pharmaceutical or biotech industry.
•    Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with cGMP guidelines, FDA regulations, and validation processes. Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, or computer engineering principles in a manufacturing context.
•    Project Management Skills: Proficiency in project management methodologies (e.g., PMI, Agile) and tools (MS Project, Primavera, etc.).
•    Leadership & Communication: Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.
•    Problem-Solving & Decision-Making: Excellent analytical skills with a track record of resolving complex technical challenges and making data-driven decisions.
•    Language Proficiency: Bilingual (English/Spanish) highly preferred.
