Document Control and Compliance Specialist:
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and maintain document control procedures in accordance with the company's quality system.
- Ensure timely review, revision, distribution, and archiving of controlled documents (SOPs, work instructions, specifications, records).
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of document revisions and approvals.
- Monitor compliance with regulatory standards (e.g., ISO 9001, BRCGS Packaging, FSC, customer requirements).
- Coordinate internal and external audits, including preparing documentation, managing audit schedules, and supporting corrective actions.
- Train plant personnel on document control procedures and compliance-related topics.
- Serve as point of contact for compliance documentation requests from customers, auditors, and regulatory bodies.
- Participate in root cause analysis and CAPA (Corrective and Preventive Action) processes related to documentation or compliance issues.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives by ensuring proper documentation of process changes and validations.
- Maintain confidentiality and security of controlled documents.
Qualifications:
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Quality, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 2–5 years of experience in document control or quality compliance in a manufacturing or packaging environment, preferably in a box plant or similar industry.
- Knowledge of quality standards such as ISO 9001, BRCGS Packaging, and FSC certification requirements.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and document control software (e.g., SharePoint, MasterControl, or similar).
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with ERP or QMS platforms.
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing and continuous improvement practices.
- Internal auditor certification (ISO or BRC preferred)
