Key Responsibilities:
- Quality Management:
- Develop and implement quality control procedures and standards to ensure product consistency and compliance with specifications.
- Conduct regular inspections and tests on raw materials, in-process materials, and finished products to ensure adherence to quality standards.
- Team Supervision:
- Supervise and lead a team of quality control inspectors and technicians, providing training and guidance on quality standards and procedures.
- Schedule and manage daily quality control activities, ensuring adequate coverage and efficient workflow.
- Process Improvement:
- Analyze quality data and performance metrics to identify trends, issues, and areas for improvement.
- Develop and execute corrective and preventive actions to address quality concerns and enhance manufacturing processes.
- Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate and comprehensive records of quality control activities, including inspection reports, test results, and quality audits.
- Prepare and present regular quality reports to management, highlighting key findings, issues, and recommendations.
- Compliance and Standards:
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and company policies related to quality and safety.
- Conduct internal audits and participate in external audits as required to maintain certification and compliance.
- Customer Interaction:
- Address and resolve customer complaints and quality issues, working closely with the customer service and sales teams.
- Collaborate with customers to understand their quality requirements and ensure their satisfaction with the products.
- Equipment and Materials:
- Ensure that testing equipment is properly calibrated, maintained, and functioning correctly.
- Work with suppliers to evaluate and ensure the quality of raw materials used in production.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Quality Management, Engineering, Industrial Technology, or a related field; or equivalent experience.
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in quality control or quality assurance, preferably in a manufacturing environment, with at least 1-2 years in a supervisory role.
- Certifications: Relevant quality certifications (e.g., Six Sigma, ISO 9001) are a plus.
