HSE Supervisor

POSITION REQUIREMENTS
  • Possess a bachelor’s degree in a related field, required.
  • Possess a valid driver's license.
  • Fluent English, Fluent Spanish.
  • 3-5+ years’ experience in maintenance operation in the oil distribution industry or related field.
  • Computer skills (SAP investment module, Access, Excel, Daisy).
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Working knowledge and experience in retail network, commercial, and marketing activities, highly preferred.
  • Good communication skills including supervision and interpersonal skills. Team Building skills.
  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken. Basic knowledge in Spanish, is preferred
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment, under minimum supervision.
  • Must be able to multitask and work well with Client stakeholders
JOB DESCRIPTION
 Safety
  • Assistance to the Director ensuring that Safety, Security, Health Quality, and Environmental (HSEQ) expectations are met.
  • Ensures that Safety tools (Golden Rules, Stop Card, Near Misses, Safety Green Light, Live Saving Checks) are properly and continuously used at the terminal.
  • Ensure facility personnel, contractors and visitors comply with applicable site rules and requirements.
  • Ensures compliance with environmental, regulatory, federal and company requirements.
Management
  • Leads routine emergency drills and exercises.
  • Participate in project planning and execution to provide HSE feedback.
  • Controlling and monitoring HSE Expenditures to comply with the approved budget for the period.
  • Ensure employees are trained and an ongoing training plan is in place.
  • Assist with vessel receipt and internal transfer operations.
  • Conducts contractor’s evaluations.
  • Supports Director when absent.
HSE Compliance
  • Perform reviews and updates of facility plans and programs related to HSE (FRP, FSP, SPCC, HAZCOM, Reflex sheets, etc.)
  • Perform review of rules and procedures and ensure compliance with regulations and company requirements.
  • Perform compliance inspections as required by HSE regulations and company requirements (SPCC inspections, hazardous waste area inspections, etc.)
  • Manage hazardous waste area to ensure compliance.
  • Assist or lead when required site visits and, preparation and review of prevention plans and related documentation
  • Prepare and approve permits to work as applicable. Perform periodic checks to confirm work is performed as established in permit to work.
  • Report and take action when any unsafe situation arises.
  • Provide support and assist with HSE audits (MAESTRO, PATROM, etc.)
  • Perform frequent safety talks.
  • Perform HSE KPI monthly reporting.
  • A PPE coordinator or delegate, ensure proper PPE availability and use. Perform PPE and collective protection inspections.
Others:
  • Responsible for ensuring compliance with MAESTRO’s principles, rules, and procedures, among others, related to the facility, along with the implementation of the defined actions plan as a result of audits, inspections, visits, etc.
  • Work in shifts as per terminal operating time schedule (night and day, weekend, public holidays)
  • Availability to support operational needs, which can require an update to the shift schedule frequently.
