Position Summary
The Chemist performs analytical testing and laboratory activities in support of quality, compliance, and operational objectives. The position requires experience with chromatography techniques, analytical instrumentation, and compendial requirements used in regulated laboratory environments.
Key Responsibilities
• Perform chemical and analytical testing of samples in accordance with established procedures and specifications.
• Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot analytical laboratory equipment, including HPLC, UV, IR, and related instrumentation.
• Execute analytical methods and interpret test results.
• Use chromatography data systems, including Empower, for data acquisition and reporting.
• Support laboratory investigations, method execution, and problem-solving activities.
• Maintain accurate laboratory documentation and comply with applicable procedures and data integrity requirements.
• Follow applicable pharmacopeial standards, including USP and EP requirements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support laboratory and business objectives.
Minimum Qualifications
• Bachelor of Science (BS) in Chemistry.
• Three (3) to five (5) years of relevant laboratory experience.
• Hands-on experience with analytical instrumentation, including HPLC, UV spectrophotometry, IR spectrophotometry, and other analytical laboratory equipment.
• Working knowledge of chromatography principles and techniques.
• Experience using Empower chromatography software.
• Knowledge of USP, EP, and related pharmacopeial requirements.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and documentation skills.
Preferred Qualification
• Chemist license.
